FAQs
Click a question below to learn more about troubleshooting blog issues on your live site.
Why is my blog post flickering and disappearing?
This may be caused by a technical issue with or a delay in loading widgets. To help solve this, we recommend trying the following:
Open your blog in incognito or private mode.
Open your browser’s developer tools (for example, in Chrome) to check for errors.
Try accessing your blog from a different device or network to rule out any local issues.
Why is my website not accessible on my network but works on others?
This may be caused by a local network issue, such as your firewall or DNS settings. To help solve this, we recommend trying the following steps:
Make sure your router’s DNS settings are correct. Learn how to check your DNS settings.
Review your firewall settings to confirm nothing is blocking your blog.
Contact your internet service provider for assistance.
(If the issue persists) Reach out to Wix Customer Care for further assistance.
Why is my blog showing a 404 error?
This can happen if your blog isn’t linked to your site’s navigation menu or if the blog app isn’t installed correctly. To help solve this, we recommend the following steps:
Click your site navigation menu.
Click Manage Menu.
Add Wix Blog to your menu.
Publish your changes.
If your blog is still missing, try deleting Wix Blog and re-adding the app to your site.
Why is my website slow to load on mobile or desktop?
Long loading times can happen if your images are too large, your content isn’t optimized, or you’re using too many third-party apps. To speed up your blog loading time, we recommend trying the following:
Minimize the number of elements on your homepage.
Use performance tools like Wix's Site Speed dashboard to identify areas for improvement.
Test your site on different browsers and devices to ensure consistent performance.
How do I check if the issue is with my browser or my site?
Try opening your blog in a different browser or device, or use an incognito or private window. If your blog loads correctly, the issue may be caused by your browser’s cached data.
