Connecting Square as a Payment Provider
Connect Square as a payment provider to accept credit card payments from your customers. With Square, you can accept payments online, through Cash App Pay, or in person with POS. You can also let your customers pay in 4 interest-free installments with Afterpay or Clearpay, depending on your location.

Connecting Square for online transactions
Go to Accept Payments in your site's dashboard.
Tip: Check your business location at the top right. If incorrect, click the drop-down menu to change it.
Click See More Payment Options.
Click See Options next to Third-Party Credit / Debit Card Providers.
Click Connect next to Square.
Select an option:
Have an account
Click Connect.
Fill in your details via Square to sign in to your account.
Once signed in, your Square account will be connected to your Wix account.
Don't have an account:
Click Create Square account.
Follow the steps to create an account.
Return to this window (repeat steps 1-5), and follow the steps under Have an account to connect your account.
Enabling Cash App Pay as a payment method
Important:
Cash App Pay is only available in the United States. Payment method availability may vary based on your location.
Cash App Pay is an accessible payment option for all of your customers who use Cash App . Payments are taken directly from the customer’s Cash App balance or linked debit card. The Cash App Pay authenticator securely verifies customer payments, allowing transactions through a secure mobile process where customers are redirected within their Cash App.
To connect Cash App Pay:
Go to Accept Payments in your site's dashboard.
Click Manage next to Square.
Use the toggles to enable or disable your Cash App Pay.
How do customers authenticate payments?
Mobile Checkout: Customers checking out on mobile devices are automatically redirected to the Cash App Pay app for seamless authentication. Once authenticated, they return to your site without any extra steps.
Desktop Checkout: Customers on desktop devices authenticate by scanning a QR code with their mobile device.
Enabling Clearpay and Afterpay as payment methods
Important:
Afterpay is available in the United States, Canada, and Australia. Clearpay, the same payment method under a different name, is available in the United Kingdom. Payment method availability may vary based on your location.
Afterpay and Clearpay let your customers pay in 4 interest-free installments. Enable them from your Square payment settings.
To enable Afterpay or Clearpay:
Go to Accept Payments in your site's dashboard.
Click Manage next to Square.
Use the toggles to enable or disable Afterpay or Clearpay, depending on your location.
Enabling Square for in-person transactions (POS)
With Square, you can sell your products from the comfort of your home, at fairs, or wherever you choose. This payment method allows you to accept payments using a mobile device with your Point of Sale system.
If you have more than one store location, you can choose which location to view when you manage your Square account.
Before you begin:
You can enable POS even if you don't have a Square card reader, however, in order to accept payments, you need to have a Magstripe credit card reader that plugs into your mobile device.
To enable POS:
Go to Accept Payments in your site's dashboard.
Click Manage next to Square.
Use the toggles to enable or disable Point of Sale (POS).

How can I tell if a payment method is active?
In order to accept online payments, you must connect a payment provider. For Square, follow the steps above to accept online or POS payments. Once connected, you need to have your account successfully verified.
Is my currency supported?
Be aware that payments will fail If you are using an unsupported currency.
The currency used in your payment provider account must match the currency that you set in your Wix account. If you need to change the currency set in your provider account, please contact your payment provider.
If your current payment provider does not support your desired currency, Wix hosts a wide range of alternative payment providers. Learn how to change your payment provider.
What is a minimum payment amount?
Some payment providers have a minimum payment threshold (e.g. $1.01). Payments below this amount will not be processed.
Make sure that all of your products or services are priced over the minimum threshold. This includes discounted items or Pricing Plans.
Please contact your payment provider to get the most up-to-date information about their minimum payment threshold.
Can I offer recurring payments?
To offer recurring payments, you must connect a payment provider that supports recurring payments.
How do I get my payouts?
Payouts are managed by your payment provider. If your provider is a third-party provider, contact them directly.

Can I accept Cash App Pay payments outside of the United States?
No, you cannot accept Cash App Pay payments outside of the United States. Both your Square account and your customer's Cash App Pay account must be registered in the United States to use this payment method.
Can I accept Afterpay or Clearpay payments outside of the supported countries?
No. Afterpay is available in the United States, Canada, and Australia. Clearpay, the same payment method under a different name, is available in the United Kingdom.
